BASICS

Benjamin Barnes [still unknown if he has a middle name] was born on August 20th, 1981. His mother is a Therapist and his father is a Psychologist. He has a younger brother named Jack, who is supposedly now 23 year old. He grew up in the South-Western area of London and still lives there today.

Ben first stepped in the limelight when he was 16. Then, his profession was playing drums in "Bugsy Malone" in West End. Ben can also sing and play piano. He was in a  very short-lived boy band called "Hyrise", who played their song "Leading Me On" in 2004 for Eurovision Song Contest. [See MEDIA for performance]

Ben was a member of the National Youth Music Theatre from 1997 to 2003.

Ben has said that his taste in music is pretty spread out. His favorite artists include The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Mowtown, Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, Artic Monkeys, and Kanye West

He's also said his taste in movies is also well rounded. One of his favorite movies is This is Spinal Tap.

Ben did go to college, as heavily advised by his parents, though he really wanted to become an actor. He attended Kingston University and studied English [specializing in Children's Literature] and Drama [what a suprise]. 

He graduated in 2004.

-Contract with 'The History Boys' was cut short due to accepting role as Prince Caspian.
- Due to his looks, Prince Caspian is not 13 years old in Narnia films.
- Said that he based his Prince Caspian accent on that of Inigo Montoya from 'The Princess Bride' because the night before auditions, he was sorting through his DVD collection trying to find something to help him.
- Wore hair extensions for the character of Prince Caspian.
- Was a fan of The Chronicles of Narnia series as a boy.
- Cast members of 'The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian' called him "Cardboard Ben" because of the billboards of him everywhere.
